Item description

The Sirius ceiling lamp, designed by Helena Tynell for Glashütte Limburg, is an icon of 1960s and 1970s design. The shade is made of thick glass, the surface of which has been formed into a distinctive convex pattern resembling crystal bubbles. Thanks to this, when lit, the ceiling lamp emits a soft, warm and diffused glow, creating an extremely cozy and decorative effect in the interior. The metal base discreetly emphasizes the charm of the glass structure, and the form of the lamp itself perfectly captures the spirit of the mid-century modern era and the characteristic Tynell style, combining functionality with decorativeness. Interesting fact: Two amber glass Sirius wall lamps from Glashütte Limburg appeared as props in the award-winning 2019 Netflix series “Russian Doll,” highlighting the timeless nature of this design.
