Description: Antique oil painting on canvas with contemporary ebonized wood frame signed "Nicolas De Corsi 1882-1956" depicting a view of the Amalfi coast. To paint the city he often uses the technique of watercolor and oil on canvas which best captures the character of liquidity that distinguishes it. His painting is spontaneous, intimate and natural, and he loves to capture the varied shades, colors and lights of sunsets or sunrises, especially Neapolitan ones.
