Item description

Antico dipinto ad olio su tela risalente al XVII secolo. La scena raffigura la morte di S.Giuseppe nella sua iconografia classica. Giuseppe è posto sul letto di morte con la vergine al suo fianco in gesto di preghiera. Gesù benedicente raffigurato a sinistra del santo morente ne riceve l'anima e ne fa da tramite verso il regno dei cieli raffigurato maestosamente nella parte alta del dipinto. Purtroppo la tela è stata restaurata in malo modo probabilmente negli anni 60/70 del 900, è stata privata del telaio e applicata su una tavola di faesite pertanto il dipinto richiede un restauro per tornare al suo splendore originale.
