This rug inspired by the art of Sonia Delaunay, famous for her geometric compositions and her innovative use of color. It presents an abstract and dynamic design, characterized by sinuous lines and geometric shapes that recall a stylized landscape, a sunset over the sea. In the center stands a large semicircular shape with an internal circle, composed of bands of ocher, red, white and brown, which suggests the silhouette of a setting sun. The rest of the surface is crossed by multicolored waves and streaks: blue, light blue, purple, pink, ocher, brown, black and white alternate creating a vibrant and harmonious effect. The whole conveys movement and warmth, thanks to the combination of warm and cold shades. The workmanship is in pure wool and the dimensions are 115 × 180 cm.
