The design dates to the mid-20th century and reflects the functional, material-focused approach characteristic of Bartoníček’s work, where everyday objects were treated with thoughtful proportions and honest craftsmanship. Constructed entirely from wood, the stand features a sculptural yet practical form with an inclined upper shelf for books and a woven lower rack that provides additional storage. The visible wood grain and warm tone emphasize the natural material and highlight the restrained, utilitarian aesthetic. The piece is preserved in undamaged vintage condition. The structure is stable and solid, with a natural surface patina consistent with age.
