Item description

Oil on canvas. Already attributed to Jan Wouwerman (Flemish painter of the 17th century) but actually later, the painting can be placed in the Roman context, due to the landscape characteristics: a wide river flows slowly in a countryside rich in vegetation, with gentle hills in the distance; On the path that runs alongside it, various figures of travelers pass by to enliven the scene. The painting was restored and relined in the mid-20th century. It is presented in a stylish frame.
