Item description

Oil on canvas. A Holy Bishop, kneeling, receives the Communion of Jesus Christ, who descended from heaven, while an angel holds the Cross and a little angel holds a devotional candle. The figure of the bishop, not attributable to a specific character, may want to represent the universal Church and its devotion to Christ, in participation in the Eucharistic banquet. The painting has previously undergone restoration and relining. It is presented in a mid-20th century style frame.
