Elegant antique chest of drawers in Louis XV style and era, mid-18th century, made in Piedmont. Of particular construction, it is "wavy" both on the front and on the sides and this last particularity makes it not easy to find. There are four drawers, and not three like the posthumous ones, and they all have their original locks and their beautiful handles, including escutcheons, in cast bronze, with the classic Turin shape of that time. The inside of the drawers is lined with a beautiful gold-colored fabric and finished with trimmings. The structure of the dresser is in solid walnut with the back, the bottom and the inside of the drawers in larch. The upper support surface is veneered: with a frame, which surrounds the owl's beak edge, in walnut and a central part in thuja briar with a maple fillet that surrounds it. Same work as the surface for the panels of the four drawers where, on the sides, the fillet creates a pointed arch design. On the two uprights there are two tiles with the same design as the drawers. The state of conservation is excellent, healthy with a beautiful patina, the inside of the drawers has recently been lined with fabric. The structure is all original, including the interior and the lining, all with the original 18th century nailing.
