Item description

Neoclassical open writing desk in bois de violette and rosewood, with maple threads. Stamped under the top. Top with green leather insert and brass mouldings. Front with five drawers, one central and two superimposed on each side, with internal secrets, puller under the top on the right side. Truncated conical legs with brass cup feet, nozzles in worked and gilded bronze, oak interior. Small shortcomings. France, second half of the 18th century.
