This devotional masterpiece depicts the Virgin Mary tenderly cradling the body of Christ with profound emotion and exquisite detail. Expertly sculpted in linden or walnut wood, the piece showcases dramatic drapery folds, expressive faces, and remarkable anatomical realism typical of Venetian Baroque sculpture.
