Elegant pair of Japanese Imari porcelain vases, dating back to the Meiji period (1868-1912), later adapted as bases for table lamps.
The porcelain bodies feature richly painted decoration in the traditional palette of cobalt blue, iron red and white, with floral motifs, stylized foliage and finely detailed geometric reserves. The decorative compositions differ slightly from one vase to another, highlighting their artisanal character.
The vases are embellished with fine gilt bronze mounts mounted on the bases and upper sections, which display a delicate patina consistent with their age.
A decorative and very elegant pair, ideal for classic, eclectic or contemporary interiors.
Lampshades are not included. Small irregularities, variations in decoration and signs of age are consistent with the period and handcrafted nature of the pieces.
