The rectangular rosewood top is embellished with elegant maple threads and floral inlays created with various essences. The central truncated pyramid leg is decorated with foliaceous Greeks inlaid in maple at the corners and floral motifs on the four sides, which are harmoniously repeated in the molded surface of the base. The turned feet and ebonized moldings complete the refined aesthetic of this period piece, making it a distinctive example of English craftsmanship of the period.
