An eclectic artist, Saverio Barbaro discovered the world and culture of the Mediterranean and the Middle East during his travels, and was deeply influenced by them.
As a painter, he found the landscapes of the Orient and the Maghreb a constant and rich source of inspiration for his artistic work: Berber dwellings, the vegetation of desert landscapes, and the figures of the inhabitants of these distant lands, depicted with just a few strokes of line and color, have been inexhaustible inspiration for a work that has fostered a love of travel and exotic locations.
His color palette is extraordinarily rich and intense, presenting unusual combinations that linger in the memory.
The structure of his paintings is characterized by extreme simplification and a remarkable ability to capture the essence of what is depicted.
The work is presented in a frame.
