We are pleased to present this early 20th century oil on canvas painting. This splendid portrait of a young woman is signed lower right in red: G. Maldarelli and dated 1917, probably the work of the Italian painter Giuseppe Maldarelli (Naples, 11 September 1885 - Naples, 16 April 1958), without authentication.
It is a fantastic painting in which the woman is portrayed in all her elegance, wearing a black evening dress and a showy white fur coat. A light smile and a bold look express the young woman's desire for fun and entertainment, despite the dating of the painting suggesting a difficult historical period, linked to the First World War. The pictorial quality is evident in a very personal style characterized by lively, material and rapid brushstrokes that perfectly capture the distinctive features of the woman. The painting is imbued with strength and immediacy, a vibrant painting that captures attention and pleasantly transports you into the thoughts of a young woman of the early 20th century.
A wonderful painting that will enchant your guests! If you love portraits and early twentieth century art, you absolutely must add this splendid painting to your collection.
The painting is presented in a stunning carved and gilded wooden frame.
