Gorgeous book / game table dating back to the mid-19th century. The cabinet stands out for the exceptional quality of the mahogany feather used for the veneer of the top, which creates a mirrored design with great visual impact. The structure is extremely versatile: thanks to the swivel and double-folding top, the cabinet serves as an elegant wall console when closed and as a spacious square table when open. Valuable details: Elegant acanthus leaf-carved shoulders, central column with pod base, and wavy feet with original period casters for easy movement. Measures Closed: Width 91 cm Depth 45 cm Height 75 cm Open: Width 90 cm Depth 90 cm State of preservation and defects The furniture is in good structural condition and has its original patina. For maximum transparency, the following signs of age are noted: Minor streaks and small surface scratches on the plane polish (visible against the light). Small peeling or missing veneer along the edges and base (typical signs of age). Some slight natural cracking of the wood due to time, which does not affect its stability.
