Wonderful Italian painting of the 19th century. Oil painting on canvas, in the first canvas, depicting a splendid praying Madonna that takes a model a late Baroque devotional composition, presumably influenced by the work of Carlo Cignani (1628-1719). The smooth treatment of the underground, the softness of the drapery and the ecstatic expression recall the work of the great master Emiliano (the painting is not currently accompanied by Expertise, but it is possible to request it upon payment of the related additional costs). Coeval frame in carved and golden wood, with some signs of time. Painted already restored with color recovery in small points, it also has a slight laceration at the height of the book (see photo). Overall in good conservative state. Painted light h 71 x l 57 cm.
