Mixed media (blood and pencil) on paper. Signed below the figure on the left.
It is probably a study for a portrait.
A central figure of Lombard scapigliatura, Conconi developed a refined and experimental language, taking the research of Cremona and Ranzoni to its extreme consequences, later reworked in a symbolic-divisionist key.
He created several portraits, in which the influence of Tranquillo Cremona is felt, while he revealed his originality in genre paintings, landscapes and fantastic and imaginative constructions, and in particular he established himself as a skilled etchist.
The drawing is presented in an early 20th century Art Nouveau frame.
The paper has slight humidity stains on the base.
