Oil on poplar panel depicting the Madonna enthroned, work attributed to the central Italian school of the late 16th - early 17th century. The composition is dominated by the figure of the Virgin who supports Baby Jesus, who holds an apple in his hands, symbol of the "new Adam", that is, the one who will redeem humanity from original sin. Two angels hover above the Madonna, holding a crown which symbolizes her royalty and role in the plan of salvation. The board, despite previous restorations, has some visible color drops, while the wooden structure has been reinforced on the back to guarantee its stability.
