Refined pendant of ancient paintings from the first half of the 18th century. Oil on canvas works depicting splendid gallant scenes, a banquet with gentlemen and a dance scene during a party. The fashion of the clothes is that of the early eighteenth century and the composition is set in a splendid garden.
The typology of subjects and the pictorial manner can be traced back to the corpus of works of the Flemish painter Jean Baptist Lambrechts (1680-1731). Appreciated for his fine brushwork and detailed compositions, he carried out his activity in Antwerp and specialized in elegant genre scenes, becoming master of the Guild of Saint Luke (the paintings are not currently accompanied by expertise, but it is possible to request it upon payment of the relevant additional costs).
The works are presented within two elegant 19th century frames in finely carved and gilded wood, with some signs of aging. Rare paintings of notable pictorial quality, ideal for refined, classic or contemporary environments, perfect for prestigious professional studios. Works already restored with relining, replacement of the frame and color recovery in small spots. Overall in good state of conservation.
