The icon is made up of four sections, which can be folded into a single layer using zips.
Each section is divided into four squares surmounted by a dome, and in each space an episode from the New or Old Testament is depicted, as well as scenes of Marian worship.
The front of the closed icon is also embossed with a sacred decoration (the Cross surrounded by floral decorations and Cyrillic writing).
The work is a travel icon, easily transportable due to its small size.
The color of the enamels has partially faded.
