This bookcase is composed by 2 modules freestanding, suitable to be moving and placed at will in the home. It's equipped with four shelves, one cabinet with drop-leaf door available as secretaire, one cabinet with door and drawers and also the element with only two drawers side-by-side. It’s original of the 1950s, made in teak wood veneered and finished with brass details. It’s in very good conditions of the period with slight signs of wear consistent with age and gentle use. If all items designed and manufactured by Vittorio Dassi are always stylish and charming, also this teak wood collection must be added to his great successes, that has been so well designed by availing itself of the cooperation of Edmondo Palutari, one of the main internal designers of Dassi Mobili Moderni. These bookcases, since 1950s, have had a great market sales success thanks for their aesthetic design mixed with gorgeous materials like warm teak wood, as well as for their functional mounting system that can be done without the need to use tools, because in total absence of screws. A 'unique selling proposition' reason why they were considered among the most innovative bookcases of the 1950s. This bookcase is illustrated in: Irene de Guttry and Maria Paola Maino, “Il mobile italiano degli anni Quaranta e Cinquanta” (Editori Laterza 1992), p.151.
