Description: French Napoleon III sideboard of the second half of the 19th century in the manner of "Vernis Martin".
The front is characterized by a swing door with a painting depicting love scene in the center, to embellish the sides there are two scanned columns ending with gorinzi capitals in golden bronze.
The built -in plane is in statuesque white marble The key is original of the time.
The underground band is adorned with a golden bronze cracking with a Maria Antonietta knuckle in the center.
Vernis Martin: the technique was developed in 1728 by the Martin brothers who held the monopoly for twenty years. It was applied to overlapping layers, then left to dry out and then painted with landscapes, with figures, with gender scenes.
The decorations on the Vernis Martin were entrusted to talented painters. The fashion of the Vernis Martin lasted in the nineteenth century and the lacquered and painting furniture became one of the characteristics of the Napoleon III style.
