Original work in enameled ceramic of the Sardinian artist Gavino Tilocca (Sassari, 1911–1999), among the most significant interpreters of the Italian artistic ceramics of the twentieth century. The sculpture depicts a stylized female figure, made with great expressive force and attention to detail. The surfaces modeled by hand and hot enamels and material recall the archaic aesthetic typical of the production of tilocca, deeply inspired by the Sardinian tradition. Gavino Tilocca played a leading role in the post -war Italian ceramic. His works have been exhibited in important exhibitions and are part of public and private collections, where they are appreciated for their cultural and artistic value.
