Before starting the colorful and provocative Memphis style, Ettore Sottsass was already a well -known and prolific designer. The "red lotus" is more sober than its subsequent works and brings with it an air of tranquility. A rounded round base, a column leg neither too thick nor too thin and a generous marble support surface: that's all, and look at it! The piece in our possession presents strong similarities with the red lot but, since it is the high -sounding name of Sottsass and not being able to be sure whether it is an original or not, we are prudent.
