Glazed ceramic pendant lamp by Tilgmans Keramik, Sweden, attributed to Marian Zawadzki, 1950s/60s. Lampshade decorated with sgraffito with butterflies and leaves; teak collar.
Elegant pendant lamp in glazed ceramic by "Tilgmans Keramik", attributed to Marian Zawadzki and made between the 1950s and 1960s. The conical lampshade features a rich sgraffito decoration with butterflies and botanical motifs, typical of the language of the Gothenburg manufacture in that period. The shiny surface and the polychrome colors - on a deep blue background - interact with the turned teak collar, a warm detail that refers to the Scandinavian sensitivity for natural materials. Light enamelled interior for a soft and diffused light.
Good condition. It may show some signs of aging. Please pay attention to the photographs.
