Imposing sideboard in eclectic style of Italian manufacture, possibly Brianza, 1940s,
with structure in precious woods, such as walnut root, maple and birch, carved and richly
decorated to create a contrasting sculptural effect. The sideboard with 5 drawers
sculpted, it has 4 doors characterized by finely neoclassical-inspired figurative panels
carved in high relief with motifs of chariots, warriors and horses, and is complete with a module
central mirror for bar use. The
mobile, with a tripartite front and Empire-inspired column uprights, supports a top
in colored marble and a large full-length mirror, gilded and carved with figures of
large sphinxes at the base. Part of a dining room set complete with table, chairs and tasteful display cabinet
revival.
