Item description

Rare openwork wooden work table from the renowned workshop of Carlo Amati. Excellent condition, unrestored and intact. Dimensions: 65 x 40 x 30 cm. 1879. Birth of Carlo Amati. At number 9 Via Garibaldi, one of the main streets in the historic center, Carlo Amati opened the workshop of his company, "AMATI CARLO - TRAFORO". The workshop quickly became a benchmark in woodworking: materials of all kinds, Art Nouveau designs of remarkable precision and richness, and woodworking tools. An important innovation: the entire range of models was presented in catalogues, thus making it easier for the public to choose and purchase.
