This is a fantastic set of three 1970s storage canisters or ice buckets with a distinctly Scandinavian & Danish Mid-century Modern design influence. The set includes three containers of varying sizes or shapes, united by their warm aesthetic. The primary material is beautifully finished natural wood, teak or oak, showcasing attractive grain patterns and a rich, honeyed tone. The largest container features a cylindrical body with a unique ribbed or fluted exterior, giving it a textural, sculptural appeal. The two smaller pieces have a striking hexagonal, multi-sided geometric form, offering a pleasing contrast in shape. Each canister is fitted with a tightly sealing wood lid topped with a simple, rounded knob handle. Crucially, the containers are lined with a functional, insulating, removable plastic liner, typically in a pale white or cream color, which designates them for use as ice buckets, cookie jars, or dry storage. The height of the other two ice bucket are 18 cm and 15 cm. This combination of natural wood, minimalist geometric shapes, and practical design is characteristic of high-quality European Modernism from the 1970s and 1980s. The set presents an excellent opportunity to add authentic vintage style and functional storage to a home bar, kitchen counter, or dining area. They are in very good condition overall.
