Iconic coffee table? designed by Marco Zanuso for Zanotta in the late 1960s. Inspired by a design philosophy where the superfluous is eliminated (Less is More...) a sturdy square-shaped glass top is mounted on tubular chromed steel legs. The originality of this project lies in the direct welding between glass and steel, which Zanuso achieves using a stainless steel base which on one side is fixed to the glass top and on the other acts as a base onto which the steel legs are screwed. Marcuso can therefore be dismantled into its construction parts.
