Pair of Napoleon III porcelain de Paris oil lamps, 19th century
Originally these lamps were oil lamps, over time the mechanism with the wick has been modified to electrify them and give them another aesthetic purpose. The finishes are in gilded bronze that time has slightly aged, but made more interesting. The body is in fine Porcelain de Paris. The exceptional decorations, cameos with heads of women of the time, are entirely hand painted with meticulous attention to detail. The lamps have these paintings on the front and back, so they are enjoyable at 360°. The pieces were made between 1850 and 1855. The lamps are supplied without a lampshade, so that everyone can choose the color in a personal way to match their furniture. Warning, the electrical system is new but the wiring is European, the compatibility of the voltage in other states must always be verified by an electrician before use.
