Sergio Rodrigues was a furniture designer and architect. In search of the Brazilian identity, Rodrigues broke away from design constraints and tried to harmoniously integrate architecture, design, and drawing. In 1951, David Xavier de Azambuja invited Rodrigues to participate in elaborating the Civic Center of Curitiba. It was through this project that Rodrigues met Lucio Costa, the acclaimed Brazilian architect who worked along Oscar Niemeyer on the development of Brasília. The 'Lucio' dining chair is a classic icon in Brazilian design. Simple and timeless, it combines modernist and regional elements. The chairs were part of a private collection and are absolutely new and unused.
