Prestigious period chest of drawers in Neoclassical style, a superb example of cabinetmaking that recalls the famous school of Giuseppe Maggiolino. The piece of furniture is entirely veneered in fine walnut root, characterized by a symmetrical "open stain" flaming of extraordinary visual beauty. The structure has three large front drawers adorned with central medallions inlaid with rosette motifs and palmettes in light woods (maple or boxwood), surrounded by elegant geometric threads that define the profiles. The upper floor resumes the complex inlay decoration with a large central medallion enclosed within geometric reserves, underlining the symmetry and rigor typical of the neoclassical taste. The sides are also finely crafted with inlaid circular medallions, testifying to high quality manufacturing with attention to every detail. The dresser rests on elegant inverted pyramid truncated feet, which streamline the massive figure of the piece of furniture. The gilt and chiseled bronze lock escutcheons and ring handles are original and complement the austere yet luxurious aesthetic of the piece. The piece of furniture is in excellent conservative conditions, with the original patina which enhances the natural warm tones of the wood.
