The Brianza district, which includes important centers such as Meda, Desio, and Cantù, has long been a leading hub of Italian craftsmanship, distinguished by meticulous attention to detail and the use of premium materials. Within this vibrant creative environment, numerous workshops and manufacturers specialize in producing furnishings inspired by the distinctive aesthetic language of Willy Rizzo, characterized by clean geometric lines, refined proportions, and luxurious finishes. Willy Rizzo (1928–2013), a prominent figure in postwar Italian design, is especially renowned for his brass and glass coffee tables, now considered iconic for their understated elegance, material richness, and impeccable craftsmanship. Throughout his career, Rizzo collaborated with prestigious companies and skilled artisans, helping to bring his sophisticated designs to the international market. The artisans who created this table masterfully interpreted Rizzo’s stylistic principles, skillfully playing with the contrast between the mirror-polished brass and the translucent smoked glass.
