Elegant set of six ebonized wood chairs, featuring seats and backrests upholstered in a cotton and polyester fabric. The silhouettes are slender and harmonious: the backrests display a refined, essential geometric design, while the tapered legs are well proportioned and gracefully integrated, with the rear legs flowing seamlessly into the back structure. A sophisticated decorative detail is represented by the brass sabots applied to the front legs. Crafted from high-quality wood and finished in a rich ebonized tone, the frames reflect both structural integrity and fine artisanal workmanship. The chairs have undergone a careful, conservative restoration. The seat and back padding were completely redone, and the upholstery was entirely handcrafted by a skilled artisan in Florence. The selected fabric—a durable and versatile cotton-polyester blend—features a refined and delicate green hue. Any subtle visual variations visible in the photographs should not be considered flaws, but rather the natural light reflections characteristic of this type of blended textile. The chairs were handcrafted between 1950 and 1953 in Meda, in the province of Monza and Brianza, Lombardy, an area internationally renowned for its excellence in both classic and modern furniture production. The artisans drew inspiration from the celebrated Italian designer Ico Parisi (Palermo, 1916 – Como, 1996), a leading figure in 20th-century design culture in the Como region. Expertly constructed and thoughtfully restored, these chairs bring style and character to any interior. Their discreet yet distinctive presence makes them original accent pieces capable of creating balanced and sophisticated atmospheres. The green tone pairs beautifully with a wide range of color palettes and adapts effortlessly to both traditional and contemporary interiors. The chairs are in excellent condition.
