The 2 polychrome appliques proposed here were made with the complex incalmo technique, a technique used to hot join two or more pieces of blown glass, often of different colours, creating a single object with clear, well-defined colored shapes. The support and lamp holder are made of black painted steel, the halogen bulb which reflects the light on the polychrome glass, creates shades of bright colors on the adjacent surfaces. Appliques produced in Murano in 1975 for the ITRE brand (i 3) which boasted for this collection the collaboration of Aureliano Toso, a well-known designer in the sector (Murano, 1884-1979) who proposed this series of lamps, characterized by the strong contents of quality, lighting technology and style. I Tre contributed to writing the history of lighting glass. The balance between form and function determined the success of this brand which designed and proposed highly stylish lighting solutions capable of tastefully connecting to different spaces. The essential but refined lines of the collection still furnish rooms with an expressive symbolism of great effect and timeless. With its clear and clean character, the collection interprets an absolute and versatile style that lends itself well both to creating evocative settings within purely domestic dimensions and to high-end creations with different intended uses. Excellent condition.
