Refined and spectacular period radiator cover with load-bearing structure (console), exquisite example of Louis XVI (Neoclassical) style cabinetmaking dating back to the first half of the twentieth century (circa 1930s).
This exceptional piece of furniture transforms a functional detail into a piece of decorative art with timeless charm. Made of finely carved solid wood, the piece of furniture boasts a splendid and rare original sage green lacquering, embellished with elegant golden details that highlight the molded frames and upper corners. The latter are decorated with delicate floral motifs hand-carved in relief.
The front and sides are characterized by a dense perforated wrought iron grille with dense rhombuses and volutes, enriched in the center of the main paneling by a sumptuous baroque medallion in embossed metal. The piece of furniture rests elegantly on four wavy curled feet with golden foliage workmanship, which lighten the figure while ensuring impeccable stability.
