Item description

In 1897 Charles Rennie Mackintosh designed the interior furnishings for the Creston Tea room in Argyle street. This is how one of the most iconic chairs of the avant-garde style was born at the turn of the 1800s and 1900s. This is the first important assignment for one of the most representative architects of the Glasgow school, who also actively participated in the Viennese Secession movement. In 1973 Cassina decided to re-propose this exceptional chair with the seat lined in an exclusive fabric. This model, marked and numbered, is in excellent vintage condition and still with the seat fabric intact. It has some light signs due to use and age.
