Item description

This striking hexagonal side table is a rare studio-made piece from the 1970s, clearly inspired by the architectural purity of Pierre Chapo’s French modernist design language. Crafted from solid pine, the table features clean, faceted lines and strong angular geometry, embodying the spirit of Chapo’s structural rigor and organic material palette. The tabletop is defined by its six-sided symmetry, set atop a tripod leg base that balances sculptural form with visual lightness. The exposed joinery and grain-rich pine surface reflect both skilled handcraft and a sensitivity to natural materials. Originally paired with a Chapo-style lounge chair, this table also stands perfectly on its own as a brutalist accent in minimalist or rustic-modern interiors. In very good vintage condition with minor signs of wear consistent with age.
