It was used in grocery stores around the 1940s. The shopping was done every day, at the market or at the shop under the house. Pasta, rice, sugar and legumes were bought in bulk at a hundred ounces. There was no packaging, the goods were taken with the hollow pallet, the large bags on the ground lined up or the glass drawers under shelves and was weighed on the blue sheet with which it was wrapped. The removable wooden dividers inside each drawer were used to pass the right quantity of food product. The furniture is in excellent condition and not 'wormwood, just needs a nice general cleaning, for the rest and' perfect, ready to be displayed in a living room, window, shop, office.
