SILVER Seller in Prato, Italy
Elegant and very particular oval table. The wooden top is covered with parchment (membrane obtained from the skin of sheep not tanned and composed of collagen) colored with light shades of green, treated with transparent varnish and applied in sectors. At the center is depicted a sheet in Fornasetti style with a drawing of a horse-mounted by a knight surrounded by other characters, all wearing clothes of the seventeenth century. The legs are made of brass painted black. The coffee table was designed by the Italian designer, furniture maker and decorator Aldo Tura (1909-1963) and handcrafted between 1950 and 1954 by the company he founded in 1939, in Cusano Milanino (Lombardy-Italy). The table has the original Aldo Tura manufacture label on the underside.
