Item description
French fireplace screen from 1800. The screen has a beautiful semi-circular reticulated shape, reminiscent of a peacock's tail, and at its edge we find another eight decorative semi-circles which function as further protection from the fire. A pivot at the top facilitates movement. The supporting structure rests on a pedestal that also serves as a base and support when closing the fireplace screen. The screen is made entirely of French bronze and has a rich and luxurious baroque style.
