Item description

Two-seater sofa designed by Gigi Radice, 1950s. The object has been completely renovated by hand: the solid wood structure has been consolidated, the padding has been arranged with biconical springs on jute straps and hand-tied with hemp rope, vegetable fibre and cotton wadding. The feet, in iron and brass casting, have been cleaned but the old patina has been preserved. The upholstery is in teal velvet, stain-resistant, short-haired and wear-resistant. It is an intrinsic characteristic of velvet to be marked on the fur after each use; the small imperfections and the inhomogeneities are to be considered merits of the craftsmanship.
