Item description
Beautiful and rare walnut-root stool designed by Osvaldo Borsani in the 1930s, of fine Italian manufacture. The stool is made entirely of walnut-root, with the wood grain visible, simply elegant. There are two legs and they cover the entire depth of the wooden stool. The end of the legs has a square recess in the wood, created by the fine craftsmanship of the wood. A wooden band connects the two legs. The two legs close at the top with a very light curl, which creates movement and lends elegance to the product. Between these two curls is the seat, which is smooth and very minimal. The stool is in original period condition. The grain of the briar is visible. The stool is suitable for rustic settings, but also as an important room piece, given its origin. Example published in the book Osvaldo Borsani edited by Giuliana Gramigna and Fulvio Irace - Leonardo, De Luca Editori on page 97.
