Item description

Pair of Minerva sofas was designed in the 1950s by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen for France & Son. The structure of the sofas is solid teak and was carefully and professionally restored by removing the old upholstery, staining and finishing with varnish. The seats and backrests were upholstered with a new graphite-coloured fabric. In the larger three-seater sofa, the teak backrest was made from scratch in full respect of the dimensions and shape of the original element. The metal and chrome elements supporting the backrest are also new. Dimensions of the three-seater sofa: height 82 cm, seat height 44 cm, width 190 cm, depth 76 cm. Dimensions of the two-seater sofa: height 82 cm, seat height 44 cm, width 120 cm, depth 76 cm.
