Item description
This splendid and very rare bedroom set from the 1950s consists of a small dressing table with armchair, accompanied by a bedside table equipped with a magazine rack. They are both truly unique pieces, well designed by Vittorio Dassi, most likely together with Gio Ponti, with whom he worked for many years. They are stunning pieces of mid-century Italian design, very versatile and functional, and would make an excellent aesthetic addition when placed in a bedroom of any modern decor project. All structures are made of maple wood and the aesthetic uniqueness is given by the design of their shapes so that the armchair immediately attracts attention as do the wooden handles of the drawers and the superbly finished perimeter joinery with two-tone slatted details , called 'grissinatura'. For our part, we contributed further by replacing the fabric of the seat and the perimeter curtain of the table with high quality Italian velvet, magnificent for its striped pattern, and we positioned new ruby red glass to give greater brilliance to the table tops. The conditions of all objects are considered good as the images show few signs of wear and tear due to age and use and all wooden surfaces have been duly polished with shellac recently. Dressing table: 75 (h) x 105 (w) x 51 (h) cm, armchair: 68 (h) x 57 (w) x 48 (h) cm, bedside table: 60 (h) x 60 (l) x 35 (d) cm.
