Genoese walnut-root chest of drawers, circa 1940s. Very beautiful, well made and decorative. The patina is very shiny and gorgeous. Of exquisite craftsmanship, it is made of richly veined walnut-root in a light and warm colour. Top in walnut-root of great visual impact with stepped shaped edge. Body with serpentine front equipped with six large drawers; there is also a framed mirror plate in the center, above the scalloped openwork apron. The piece of furniture rests on cabriole legs in carved solid walnut ending with spiral feet. There are cracks in one spot, under the mirror plate (see photos). In very good original condition, consistent with age and use.
