Lounge designed by Ico Parisi for Ariberto Colombo, composed of a curved sofa and an armchair.
Designed in 1951 by Ico Parisi for the Cantù manufacturer Ariberto Colombo and present both in Ico Parisi's catalogue raisonné with numbers 1951.4 A and 1951.4 C.
The sofa with its round and soft lines was produced in different versions, linear, curved and angular.
The details of these seats reveal the genius and skill of the design, the curved lines that form the armrests and backrest are sinuous and continuous, giving movement to the seats.
Ico (Domenico) Parisi, one of the most important Italian architects and designers of the first half of the 20th century, won a gold medal at the Milan Triennale in 1954.
The three-seater sofa and armchair have just been reupholstered in teal satin to restore them to their original splendour.
Both are in like-new condition.
