Salon Art + Design fair is celebrating its 10th birthday by animating the historic Park Avenue Armory building on the Upper East Side in New York City from 11 to 15 November. A showcase of great author's design and craftsmanship from all over the world — vintage, modern and contemporary — the fair also features teh works signed by 20th centuery blue chip artists, aiming at experienced and younger collectors. The main show is accompanied by site-specific installations and special exhibitions displayed in the historic rooms on the first floor of Park Avenue Armory, the Colonels Rooms, the Library and the Staff Parlor.

Today a non-profit institution dedicated to the arts, the Park Avenue Armory is a New York historic building, whose beautiful interiors were designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany, Stanford White, the Herter brothers and other leading artists of the American Aesthetic Movement.

Hosting prestigious design galleries on a global scale, the Salon interprets a concept of collecting based on the creation of refined environments and atmospheres, rather than a simple accumulation of collectibles: a thought that marries a trend inclined to the mix of vintage and contemporary, that gives life to a refined eclecticism, increasingly in vogue in today's taste.
