A bar corner that makes it home

The corner bar is a must to make your house our own and at intOndo we think that you can't do without even in the smallest apartments.

The corner bar is a must to make your house our own and at intOndo we think that you can't do without even in the smallest apartments. We like it because it's a colourful visual focus, but also because it says a lot about the style of its owner. There is no more charming way to break the ice with your guests than to offer a good cocktail made by the minute and served in an original glass.

But like all services, the bar area of our house must be organized and customized, especially to avoid waste and bad figures. For this reason we have decided to share with you some simple tricks to make the most of your home bar.

Let's start with the place where you can collect everything you need for your entertainment. You can opt for a closed cabinet to open if necessary with perhaps a beautiful mirror inside. Or choose a nice large tray to lean in plain sight on the corner of a sideboard or a coffee table.

As far as the contents are concerned, we recommend that you start with a few elements in order to familiarise yourself with the use of this service area. Your guests will most likely choose what you offer them, so avoid buying an excessive assortment of alcohol, they will remain there to dust. Instead, choose two or three wines and spirits with which you feel comfortable and add some tools of the trade such as a corkscrew and a nice design shaker.

Let's erase the stereotype of the bar as a place of perdition, who says we should use it only for alcohol? This is the right place to create fresh juices and detox centrifuges. Then add a citrus squeezer, perhaps with a vintage taste.

Don't be afraid to talk to your friends, they can tell you how they run their home bar and so you will enrich your choices and conversation between guests. What you can not miss, and that is never enough, is the ice, so invest in a nice ice box and fill the freezer with cubes of ice, ideally of different sizes.

The freezer itself will be your bar's best friend. Here you can keep aromatic herbs, fruits and vegetables within reach to give your creations a refined look and taste. Before dinner, place a cup with lemons or lime next to your bar. Not only will they serve you, they will also give your environment a fresh touch. Olives are another good accompaniment to your drinks and certainly even the less thirsty guests will appreciate them as an aperitif.

Our last advice may seem superfluous to you, but it is actually the best way not to let the dust take over your bar corner. Leave a small space next to bottles and glasses for a nice jar to fill with your favorite cut flowers. This little trick will take you to update and refresh your bar as well as take care of your beautiful scented flowers.
