The Asko Pulkka armchair in black vegan leather is, like the ottoman, in excellent condition. The upholstery has the typical Pulkka check quilting, is in very good condition and has only minor wear on two corners. The armchair shell is set in a honey-coloured wooden frame and is adjustable in various ways. The frame shows signs of wear appropriate for its age. In combination with the ottoman, which is also in excellent condition, the Pulkka armchair offers a fantastic seating experience. Finnish designer Ilmari Lappalainen designed this armchair for Asko Finland in the late 1960s, creating a design classic. The Finnish furniture manufacturer Asko was founded in 1919 and made a name for itself in the 1960s and 1970s by collaborating with top designers and offering innovative design.
